Blending Bluet SUP’s passion for soulful paddle adventures with Aileen’s 30 years of expertise in international education and community engagement, this collaboration brings travelers a journey that is both adventurous and deeply meaningful.

Belize is a culturally diverse Central American nation on the Caribbean coast, bordered by Mexico and Guatemala, known as a "nature lover's paradise", boasting the second-largest barrier reef in the world. As the only English-speaking country in Central America, it offers a unique mix of dense jungles, Mayan ruins, and hundreds of cayes (islands) for world-class diving & snorkeling.

Your Belize Experience

We’ll begin with three nights on Ambergris Caye, at an island resort, where you can settle into relaxed island life. Spend your days unwinding, swimming in crystal-clear Caribbean waters, paddle boarding or kayaking along the reef, or simply lounging by the ocean-front pool.

We combine adventure with purpose! We'll travel by boat to "Secret Beach", with idyllic turquoise waters for swimming/paddling.

We’ll also have the opportunity to give back to the local community, spending two afternoons supporting children’s literacy at an island school. It’s a meaningful way to connect with Belizeans, beyond the beaches and leave a positive impact.

The adventure continues as we set sail on a private catamaran. Together we’ll explore some of Belize’s most beautiful islands and reef spots. Expect snorkeling in vibrant marine habitats, paddle boarding in turquoise waters, island hopping, and magical sunsets at sea. We will have the unique opportunity to camp on a remote island for 2 nights. (*tents, mattress pads, solar showers, and bedding provided). We will have all meals cooked for us and nightly campfires.

Optional Snorkel Excursions

For those who want even more ocean adventure, you can add a half-day guided snorkel trip from the resort to some of Belize’s most famous spots:

Mexico Rocks – $90 (includes $15 marine park fee)
Hol Chan Marine Reserve & Shark Ray Alley – $90 (includes $15 marine park fee)
Diving package (4 Reef dives + 1 night dive) - $300 (equipment included)

Stay at an island resort, with the option of shared or single-occupancy rooms.
2 nights and 3 days - Goff's Caye
Spend two nights camping on a remote island as part of our catamaran adventure enjoy:
- A day catamaran will sail our group to a remote island
- Sailing by day around the islands, snorkeling, swimming &/or paddling
- Individual tents, mattress pads, and solar showers
- Campfires under the stars

ITINERARY

Wednesday, Jan 13 – Arrival in Belize & Transfer to Ambergris Caye
- Arrive at Belize City International Airport.
- Take a short 15-minute flight ($100) to Ambergris Caye.
- Transfer from the local airport to a Beach-front Resort
  - Check in and get settled at the resort.
  - Enjoy a relaxing sunset on the deck over the water—hang out in hammocks with happy hour drinks.
  - Group dinner (included).
Thursday, Jan 14
- 7:00–9:00 AM: Breakfast at the resort (coffee & juice included with select menu items).
Morning –Secret Beach 1/2 day trip
- Travel (arranged) to Secret Beach
- Swim, paddle board, or relax in stunning turquoise waters
- *Option for divers - 2 morning dives + 1 night dive
Afternoon – Community Engagement & Local Exploration
- 3:00–5:00 PM: Participate in an afterschool literacy program with local kids.
- Explore the town: shop for souvenirs.
- End the afternoon with a sunset happy hour.
Evening – Dinner
- Dinner options are on your own, with local restaurants nearby.
Friday, Jan 15
- 7:00–9:00 AM: Breakfast at the resort (coffee & juice included with select menu items).
Morning – Leisure
- Relax at the pool; beach walk; snorkel at the reef; shop
- *Divers- Option for 2 morning dives
Afternoon – Community & Town Exploration
- 3:00–5:00 PM: Participate in an afterschool literacy program with local kids.
- Browse the town for souvenirs.
- Wrap up the afternoon with a sunset happy hour.
Evening – Group Dinner
- Enjoy a casual group dinner at “Truck Stop” (on your own; food trucks, games, and live music).
Saturday, Jan 16
Morning & Afternoon – Sail to Goff’s Caye
- Embark on a scenic catamaran sail from Ambergris Caye to Goff’s Caye (“caye” = island).
- Goff’s Caye is a tiny, idyllic island paradise with pristine white sands, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant marine life—perfect for snorkeling, paddling, swimming, or simply relaxing.
- Breakfast & Lunch served on the boat during the journey.
Afternoon & Evening
- Camp will be set up for us
- Explore the island; swim/paddle/relax
- Dinner will be prepared for us
- Campfire will be prepared for us
Sunday, Jan 17 - Catamaran Adventure exploring Cayes (Islands)

Sail around Cayes & Atolls, a pristine marine paradise
- Cayes & Atolls are famous for its vibrant coral reefs, diverse marine life, and excellent opportunities for snorkeling, paddling, swimming, fishing and lobster hunting!
- Breakfast & lunch will be served throughout the day while exploring.
- Dinner will be prepared on Goff's Caye
- Evening campfire will be prepared
Monday, Jan 18
- Breakfast
- Enjoy morning activities like snorkeling, paddling, swimming, and exploring the island.
  - Sail to Belize City
  - Transfer to International Airport
  - Brunch aboard the catamaran.
  - Depart for home.

The Great Blue Hole: a massive underwater sinkhole that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s a popular destination for divers, known for its stunning marine life and unique geological formations.

Diverse Cultures Belize is a melting pot of cultures, with influences from Mayan, Garifuna, Creole, Mestizo, and Mennonite communities. This diversity is reflected in the country's cuisine, music, and traditions.

The Barrier Reef: is the second-largest reef in the world, after the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. It offers amazing opportunities for snorkeling, scuba diving, and marine exploration, boasting an incredible array of marine species and vibrant coral formations.

Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) Cave: This ancient Maya archaeological site, known as the "Cave of the Crystal Sepulcher," provides a unique adventure for explorers. YES! All visitors are required to have a valid passport that does not expire within 90 days of arrival, along with a return airline ticket. Visas are not currently required for travelers from the U.S., European Community, or British Commonwealth for stays less than 30 days.

Cell phones work across Ambergris Caye if you have activated international service with your provider. Contact your cellular provider before your departure for information on services available within Belize. Wi-Fi is available at restaurants and hotels.
Belize uses 110 volt, 60-cycle hertz, so guests from the United States do NOT need a converter or adaptor.
All rates and any activity include a service charge. Tipping is customary in Belize, and 10-15% is standard. As always, tipping is at your discretion.
The official currency for Belize is The Belize dollar, which is tied to the United States dollar and exchanged with most merchants at a fixed $2.00 (BZD) = $1.00 (USD). When exchanging money in a bank, Central Banking exchange rates will apply. Most places readily accept US dollars and/or credit cards, so there is no need to exchange currency before arriving. However, your credit card company, may charge a slight exchange fee for processing your currency conversions. You can withdraw Belize dollars from local ATMs with a U.S. debit card.
The time zone is the same as US Central Standard Time. Belize does not observe daylight savings time. English is the official language, but almost half the population speaks Spanish. Garifuna (Carib), Maya, and Creole are also spoken as well as a German dialect (by the Mennonites).
English is the official language of Belize, and taught in schools. Most Belizeans speak English, so you will not have any trouble communicating while in Belize. Belizean Creole and Spanish are also widely spoken throughout the country. Other languages spoken include: Carib, Mayan, Yucatec, Mopán, and Kekchí. Most Belizeans are multilingual.
You can find most all necessities, such as toothpaste, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, etc. in Belize, however many products may be more expensive as they are imported to the island. We suggest you bring travel-size items.
It is advised not to drink any tap water. Bottled/filtered water is available everywhere. It is recommended to bring a reusable water bottle for refills, as well as electrolyte tablets for hydration.
Travel By Air
After arriving at Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport in Belize City, and going through customs, you walk to the next terminal to take a 15 minute commuter flight to Ambergris Caye. We/you can book a flight via Tropic Air or Maya Island Air.
Travel By Sea
If you prefer to travel by sea, there are two ferry companies located in Belize City that offer daily service to Ambergris Caye; San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi and Caribbean Sprinter Water Taxi. This is a long journey, taking up to 90 minutes. The boats are large and covered and often operate at or just below passenger capacity.
Upon arrival to the Island, Resort Shuttle Transfer or taxis are available.
The resort offers a shuttle transfer service from San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye to the Resort for US$30 RT per person.
The majority of people travel around the island by golf cart or bikes, which can be rented in town and at hotels. Taxis are also available.
